Create your own monster (Gyöngyi Nyári)

Create your own monster

The inspiration comes from Pokemon cards. In this game we will play a simplified version of it.

This game can be used on every language level. You can previously make the questions with the help of the students (8-16 questions) and on the next lesson you can play the game.

The competition will encourage the players to act quickly and consciously because the wrong answer will give the opportunity for the other team/player.

Description:  This game can be played in teams or as a solo player (depending on the number of students). Similar to the card games where you fight and compare your monster’s ability points.

With the help of your monster you can fight and win!

Teams: individual or teams

Arena: 4 rounds (The questions or statements will get harder each round) You get a question and the first who can answer it will get the chance to attack. The time limit (15 sec).

Monsters ability:  You or your team will have to decide the points of each ability.

-Attack points: 1-10

-Shield points: 1-10

-Healing points: 1- 10

-Special skills: Add plus 2 points for one ability in every round after giving the correct answer to the bonus question.

(All together 10 ability points. For example: 5 attack points, 3 shield, and 2 healing points)

The special skill can be activated when you answer a bonus question correctly, otherwise you will lose the 2 bonus points and it will be deducted from the highest ability point.

By comparing the ability points the winner is the one who has the higher ability points at the end. For example, if your monster has 5 attack points and the enemy has 3 shield and 2 healing points the result is draw.

Both of the teams can choose the special skills but the attackers get the chance first. If they win they can add the plus 2 points for their abilities. If they do not know the answer the other team will get the chance to answer the bonus question.
