My game is a mixture of ideas from different games and TV programmes, including Jeopardy, Monopoly and cooking/baking shows. I think it can be played by anyone and this game can be used with any topic. My first idea is a vocabulary practice game, but it can be changed.

Preliminaries

Number of players: 9+
Age: 10 years of older
Proficiency level: A2-C2
Play Time: 30 minutes

Preparation

I create cards (they can be digital or paper-based) and show them altogether on the screen or on the board face down, so nobody sees what is on the cards.
Students form groups of 3 (4 if there more 15 students).
I have some recipes of baked goods and each group has to choose one of them.

Goal of the game

The objective of this game is to "bake" their cake, which they can do by buying all the ingredients.

Rules of play

The game consist of multiple rounds. In each round, there are 2 parts.
Part one: Each group chooses a card and they have to answer the question or complete the task on it. The questions' level of difficulty is different, so the groups can gain different amount of points. If a group cannot answer to the question in 90 seconds, other groups can steal their points.

Part two: After getting their points, groups can go to the "shop" to buy ingredients. In the  recipe I give them, they can see the amount of the ingredients they have to use and in the shop they can see the price of the ingredients. They can pay with their points.

We repeat the rounds until one of the groups manages to collect all the ingredients.

Scoring:
Translate the word: 50 points
Give 1 synonym and 1 antonym: 100 points
Define the word: 150 points
Tell the difference between the 2 words: 200 points
